War Stories along Quebec's Border, 1813-1814
Synopsis: Lacking a natural barrier, only an imaginary line marked the border between Lower Canada (Quebec) and the United States. By 1813 this porous frontier lit up with enemy incursions, dulled only by undeclared non-aggression pacts between some border communities. Many lost War stories of heroes, spies, and villains from this region are both unique and surprising. A selection of these tales will be presented in an entertaining and fast-paced style, complete with a wide selection of images.
Biography: Park Canada's former Military Curator for Ontario, Robert Henderson manages a Heritage products and services company providing creative solutions to museum, collector and film industry clients in over 20 different countries. Creator of the popular site: Warof1812.ca, Mr Henderson's book "Desperate Bravery: The Last Invasion of Quebec, 1814" is expected in 2012.
